Multi-chapter WIP updated daily
Jasper works for his dad during the summer on their Indiana farm. This year there's a new farm hand that changes Jasper's mind about a lot of things he thought he knew for certain. J/E Started out as a drabble, but is growing! Updated Daily

This is the first story that Robownsme has written, she does an excellent job of telling the story of  Edward that's mentally abused and berated by his father.  And  Jasper, that's a sweet hard working farm boy.  The story starts out with Jasper in the barn wondering about the new guy  he'll have to work with for the summer.  When they meet, they have an instant connection.  Edward..knowing he's gay, knows exactly what he wants to do with "fuck hot farm boy".  Jasper is confused, he feels an unmistakable draw to Edward, but he's not gay...right?

"Nice to meet you, Edward." I hold out my hand. I don't know why I do it.
"It's nice nice to meet you, too," Edward says in barely a whisper. He's looking down when he says it, but then raises his head as he takes my hand in his. It's when our hands touch, I know I'm in a whole hell of a lot of trouble.

Water….Dripping… Skin…. I can't do this. I can't meet the most beautiful boy I've ever seen and his dad with a fucking hard on. I'm in so much trouble."

After talking and realizing this is something they both want, they can hardly keep their hands off each other.  Not so easy when you work on a busy farm.  Then Edward meets Jasper's twin sister Rose.  She is extremely aggressive and won't take no for an answer.  Edward is beside himself, he's just not sure how to get her to back off, finally he tells her he has a girlfriend back in Chicago where he moved from.  Of course possesive Jasper is very very jealous, he immediately jumps to conclusions.  Once Edward tells him he's the girlfriend it all works out.  Rose finally backs off.  Then there's Alice, she's been after Jasper for a while.  I'm going to let you read how he gets rid of her, it works...finally.

This is a really sweet story about two boys finding out who they are, and discovering they love each other in the process.  It's very low on the angst level, mostly because they actually talk about their problems and work them out pretty quickly.  Edward's dad is the hardest part of the story to deal with.  He's horrible to Edward, has no problem belittling him in front of other people and is constantly telling Edward what a pussy he is.  He's really done a number on Edward's self esteem, he's heard it for so long he actually believes it.  Jasper changes all that, hopefully he eventually tells his dad off in some way that makes him feel as low as he has made Edward feel.

You'll love both of these boys, they're both very likable.  It's so cute reading how Jasper goes from being confused to being totally in love and willing to do anything it takes to be with Edward and make him happy.  Edward grows so much too, being around Jasper definitely has a positive effect on him.  He 's much more confident, and he has friends now.  Something he never had in Chicago.  This fic is written in a drabble style and is updated every evening.

Edward/Jasper
M Hurt/Comfort
Completed Multi-Chapter
This story starts out with Edward working at his parents antique store, taking apart an antique clock, when a man walks into the shop wanting more information on a pocket watch he found in his Grandmother's personal possessions. Edward is intrigued, and decides to help him if he can. He soon finds out Jasper is the last of his family, when his parents died he was left to care for his Grandmother. Her health has declined and recently she has entered a care home.
When Edward examines the watch he finds a surprise inside....a photo of two men, and an inscription. "H, So I am with you always, Forever yours, B" Jasper is stunned. He recognizes his Grandfather as one of the men in the photo, but has no idea who the other man is, or who's initial is "B". Jasper explains to Edward that his Grandmother has dementia, and while he would really like to ask her for more information about the watch, he's just not sure she's capable of helping him. Edward offers to go with him to talk to her, and to be there for Jasper if he needs it.
Going to visit his Grandmother Maria, proves very frustrating; she's in and out of reality. It's hard to tell sometimes exactly what she's talking about. Edward learns that Jasper has been on his own, since he graduated college his parents have died, and now he's left solely to care for his Gramma. It's alot for a 23 year old to deal with, in doing that Jasper has distanced himself from personal relationships, and any type of physical contact with another person. He has truly been alone for the past year.
Through their conversations with Maria, and with the help of Edward, Jasper finally figures out who the other man is and what their story was. The knowledge is both comforting, and heartbreaking for Jasper, but it leads him down a new path in his own life, that includes Edward. He finally does get closure, and the story comes full circle, when in the last chapter, which is actually an outtake, we learn the real story behind the watch.
This story really is very sweet and heart wrenching, you feel Jasper's frustration and all consuming sadness. Edward is very much there for him, and willing to do whatever he needs to do to help Jasper find the answers he needs. The story is only 7 chapters, so a quick read...but a really good read. Enjoy.
